Suncoast Charities Nominated Greg Linehan And Sarasota Ford For SRQ Magazine Good Hero Awards

Suncoast Charities for Children wishes to congratulate Greg Linehan and Sarasota Ford, as award recipients for this year’s SRQ Magazine Good Hero Local Philanthropic Award Luncheon. Both were nominated by Suncoast Charities for Children for their outstanding philanthropic work here in our local community and continued support towards our mission to help local children, teens, and adults with special needs.

Greg Linehan, President of Greg Linehan Law, was honored with this year’s Board Member Good Hero Award. Greg has served on the Suncoast Charities for Children board of directors for the past 8 years and is currently Board President. During his involvement he has worked closely with other board members and staff to help grow the brand of the charity and increase net revenue. This has resulted in a record amount of funding allocations made to seven local non-profits during the 2023/2024 fiscal year in support of local children, teens, and adults with special needs. Greg genuinely cares about making a difference and making a positive impact here in our local community.

Sarasota Ford was honored with this year’s Corporate Good Hero Award. Sarasota Ford has supported many of our charity fundraisers over the years including being a major sponsor of our Thunder By The Bay Music & Motorcycle Festival for the past 20 years. In addition to supporting Suncoast Charities, under Matt Buchanan’s leadership, Sarasota Ford supports countless other deserving non-profits, organizes toy drives and hurricane/ flood relief drives, and organized the “One Community One Team” initiative to recognize the selfless efforts of local citizens including teachers, police officers, firefighters, first responders, members of the military and veterans, by rewarding them with all-expense paid experiences. Matt Buchanan was unable to attend the awards ceremony. Mirza Velic, Chief Experience Officer, accepted the award in his place.
