Suncoast Charities for Children extends our heartfelt thanks to the Del Webb at Lakewood Ranch Making A Difference Club for their continued generosity and commitment to our mission.
The club recently hosted a Bingo fundraiser, raising an incredible $3,250 for Suncoast Charities for Children — a gift that was generously matched by the James M. Doss Charitable Foundation, doubling the impact for local individuals with special needs.
These funds will help provide new equipment for Special Olympics and support Team Florida Cornhole athletes, ensuring individuals with physical and cognitive challenges have meaningful opportunities to participate in athletic competition and experience the joy of sports.
To date, the Making A Difference Club has contributed more than $11,000 to Suncoast Charities for Children. Their past generosity has supported the funding of:
– Two ADA-accessible ramps and an elevated sand play table for children in wheelchairs at The Haven’s Selby Preschool playground
– New sport equipment and year-long scholarships for two Special Olympics athletes
– Three therapy swings at The Florida Center for Early Childhood
