95th Annual Sarasota Tarpon Tournament Raised $13,500 For Suncoast Charities for Children

For many years, we have been a recipient of the proceeds raised from the Sarasota Tarpon Tournament and we cannot express our gratitude enough for their continued support of our mission! On July 10,2025, the 95th Annual Tournament Awards Dinner took place and Suncoast Charities for Children received a generous donation of $13,500.00!

Thanks to the funding we received from prior tournaments, last summer we were able to fund the first-ever Special Olympics Camp Shriver for Special Athletes here in Sarasota County and this past June, we were able to help fund the second annual camp. This year’s donation will help ensure that this camp will be able continue for years to come.

We would also like to give a special thank you to Rick Richards, who was the 1st place overall winner of the tournament! Rick and his wife Robyn have been longtime supporters of Suncoast Charities for Children and generously donated Rick’s Tarpon Tournament Prize Money of $3,000 to the charity in support of our mission!

Thank you again to the Tarpon Tournament Committee and Rick Richards for helping to make an impact on the lives of over 8,000 children, teens, and adults with special needs here in our community!
